Reversal of Damage / Reverse Hex
Change Reversal of Damage to: trigger from life steals (Insideous Parasite, Vamp Gaze, NIghtmare Wep, etc.) as well as just damage
Change Reverse Hex to: be an enchantment. When foes cast hex on Ally, hex is applied to foe instead. Leave it in the Protection Line.
15E, 2S cast, 20S recharge
for 5...10... 15 sec, the next hex cast on target OTHER ally fails & is applied to foe casting hex instead

Your suggestion for reverse hex (i dont know why they needed to be seperate threads but w/e) is just plain bad.

I wonder why as well. But even if they did (which I don't think they should) this should be a Smiting skill instead of a Protection. Unless you can give a solid reason WHY this should be changed, I see no reason to. And outside of Contagion, I don't see any skill that functions like this, and Contagion is for conditions, not hexes.

eh i see no reason why they should do this. i mean its Life STEALING you should get away w/ it every once in a while .
/notsigned i dont see a point to it.

/notsigned for either idea.
They're both fine as they are. I don't think ArenaNet will implement skill effects that change the target of other skills (as you suggest for Reverse Hex).

no, would take away a special attribute of life stealing dmg. (being able to go through enchants without triggering them)

Reversal of Fortune protects against life stealing so Reversal of Damage can too.

Reversal of Damage could do with a bit shorter recharge (at least for pve), all to be said about it, really.

ROD triggers when hexed with Empathy & VoR & Backfire (ALL MESMER HEXES BTW). The only PASSIVE non-MESMER hex that ROD currently negates is Price of Failure. Currently, ROD negates/reverses (the 1st occurance) of all ACTIVE damage hexes (Seeping Wound, IoP, Glimmering Mark, Lamentation, etc).
A recent change was made to allow the protection prayers line to trigger on life steals. Accordingly, the smiting prayers line should have the "same" advantage (it is SMITE after all).
Anyway with a change, RoD might actually get more use in RA at least... but won't affect PvE at all. I presume all those that don't like the idea also don't ever equip the skill either (cept on their smiter hero). But what do I know?

The RoD change won't really affect anything at all in any significant way, but it still is logical and makes sense. So if Anet is bored, sure, /signed.

Existing Reverse Hex (10, .25, 10):
Enchantment Spell. (5...9...10 seconds.) Removes one hex from target ally. The next damage this ally takes is reduced by 5...41...50. No effect unless this ally is hexed.
The ONLY other hex removal skills in the Protection line are Convert Hexes & Divert Hexes - both are intended as "mass" hex removal & one is Elite. ALL other choices for monk hex removal are HALF THE ENERGY with approximately the same cool down. Aside from the marginal RoF type of effect, the ONLY REAL advantage this hex removal skill has is the short cast time so the prot monk MIGHT be lucky enough to remove the dangerous hex B4 the cover gets applied (as long as they aren't preoccupied protting someone else)
Ultimately, this skill sees virtually no use. Almost ANY change would be meaningful to incent those invested with Protection Prayers to equip it.
but hey... what do I know?

Reversal of Damage: such a minor change for a mechanic that rarely sees the light of day anymore. It's a logical change but srsly, waste of time.
Reverse Hex: Garbage. So weak that it makes me cry.

Well, they did some changes to some monk skills to affect life steal.
One more won't harm.

QQ RoD is fine how it is. Seriously, if it wasn't more people would complain in the glad arena forums. Obviously it isn't a huge pvp skill and pve it is kind of not used either.....i see it in JQ on 1 button cap bars..(ROJER),,thats it

Since I follow the guidelines posted in sardelic, I will only resond to the idea to change RoD
I don't see how this will help RoD become mainbarred, but it's a decent suggestion.

Uhmm no? There should NOT be a single skill that allow you to hex yourself. Beside if change into that, it gotta be an elite and that's a no no lol. Else would be too imba for a skill. Plus reverse hex is GOOD as of right now. Why the hell change it?
Life steal is NOT dmg. As the name said Reversal of dmg is DMG not life steal. Beside whats the deal with the life steal + dmg from reversal? No dmg? So what? What's the point?
